Care assistant, evenings

We are looking for an evening care assistant to join a small team looking after 24 residents.

What the job involves

• Helping residents with their evening routine, meals and getting ready for bed.
• Spending time with people — a chat over a cup of tea is part of the job, not an extra.
• Keeping simple records of what has been eaten, drunk and any changes you notice.

What we are looking for

Kindness first. Experience in care is welcome but not required — we put you through the training and pay for your DBS check. You will be paired with an experienced colleague for your first two weeks.

Hours and pay

4pm to 9pm, four evenings a week including alternate weekends. [hourly rate] an hour, with enhanced rates on bank holidays.
